Your spine is built for motion. Sitting for hours stiffens the joints and weakens supporting muscles. Stand up, stretch, and walk for a few minutes every half hour to keep things loose.
Stack your ears over your shoulders and your shoulders over your hips. When sitting, keep both feet flat and your screen at eye level so you are not constantly craning your neck forward.
Bend at the knees and hips, keep the load close to your body, and let your strong leg muscles do the work. Twisting while lifting is one of the fastest ways to strain your lower back.
